    Hi all:

I just want to share our weekend project with you. We built a doll storage closet for our daughter. I would like to call it "doll armoire", even though it is not very fancy. Here is the link to it:
    http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=2130500263

This armoire measures about 31" tall, 24" wide, 11.5" deep. Currently it stores 15 outfits plus lots of accessories (9 dresses are hanging). We can easily put more outfits in there when we get more with the code. This really solved my daughter's storage problem. I hope she will be more organized from now on. For those who are interested in building a similar closet, here is what we did: we bought 2 of the Closetmaid organizers from Lowes ($23/each), a piece of white particle board that was cut (by Lowes) into 3 pieces for shelves ($9), 2 boxes of Shelf Pins (that's 16 pins) fits 5 mm holes ($4). Then we bought a 7/16" Round Spring Tension Rod Extends 8"-11" from Bed Bath & Beyond ($6). Total cost: $65. It took us about 2 hours to put everything together. I am not completely happy with the outside look yet. I am thinking of buying a piece of fancy top to put on top of the 2 closets, making it look like a real armoire. You can also add a drawer on the bottom or top. There are so many ways to add more storage space.
